Wheeling Numbers

In this post I aim to answer a few of the most common questions that come up from people who first hear about the most common system used by lottery players who want to gain an advantage over other players in the draw.

The 2 most common questions I get are:

  1. What is meant by “wheeling your numbers” when it comes to playing the lottery?
  2. Do “wheeling” systems really work?

Let’s look at these in turn.

Number Wheeling

Wheeling numbers is a simple mathematical concept. Really, in lay-man’s terms, wheeling allows you to pick more numbers than the standard game allows with just random tickets.

For example in a typical 6 from 49 draw such as the UK National Lottery you would normally select 6 numbers to play with. If you wanted to enter the draw a second time you would pick a mixture of new numbers for your second line.

With “wheeling” however you can pick as many numbers as you like and using a simple mathematical system create a selection of tickets that have every possible combination of those numbers.

Does Wheeling Work?

Wheeling numbers increases your odds of winning a prize significantly. It reduces the odds by many millions to 1. Just adding 1 number increases the odds of winning a top prize from 14 million to 1 down to 500 thousand to 1.

In fact, using wheeling as a method for choosing numbers it is actually possible to guarantee a jackpot win because you can enter every possible combination into the draw.

Unfortunately this would cost you in the region of £14 million. No small investment. What’s more, the jackpot would need to be a roll-over to make the exercise profitable and you would need to hope that no-one else good lucky and hit the 6 numbers claiming a share of the prize. It’s a risky strategy, but one that has been successfully used many times before by wealthy syndicates.

Some rich people are just greedy!

So if you want to get better odds in the lotto that you play I suggest you try a simple wheeling system to begin with. It will cost you more in entries but your chances of winning a top prize are greatly increased and your odds of winning smaller prizes are extremely high.

Scratch Cards

Scratch card type games seem very appealing to many lottery players. Winning the main draw for many people seems so unlikely that they don;t even enter and prefer to use their money on scratch cards. I think this is a mistake.

Although there have been many winners in scratch type games, winning a prize in this way is really based on pure luck.

It is a matter of being in the right place at the right time. “So is the main draw”, I can hear many people saying! Well may be it is and maybe it isn’t.

How many math experts have won on scratch off games? How many multiple lottery winners won on those games?

Not many I betting.

Yet there are many mathematical whiz-kids that have landed 2 or more lottery wins playing, (you guessed it), the main draw. Also many “ordinary” winners who have multiple wins under their belt also won in the main draw.

Why is this?

Game of Luck or Game of probabilities?

The lottery is about luck. Of course it is. Not many people would dispute that (except a few multiple winners that have in the past). But, as one 5 time jackpot winner said “the more I play, the luckier I get.”

You see people who know how to deal with probabilities recognised tat the lottery is not just based on luck. It is based on probabilities. And, anything that has laws (the law of probability) can be beaten when you know how to apply certain principles based on that law.

Many past lottery winners claim to have done that.

In these coming weeks we will explorer as many of the principles as we can and discuss how multiple lottery winners may have employed formulas to work with those principles to land their many wins.

A Mistake Worth $23.3 Million

In 2003 Stephen Cooke was feeling lucky so he decided to play the Mega millions draw that had a jackpot of $70 million. Purchasing a few tickets using significant dates for numbers Cooke casually obtained his entries in the normal way. What Stephen didn’t realise was that he had played the same numbers on 2 of his tickets. An oversight that would leave many players feeling they had squandered an extra chance at picking the winning numbers.

When the draw took place Stephen was very excited when the first ticket he checked had the winning line. To say Cooke was overjoyed would be an understatement.

Making his way to the claim office in Atlanta Cooke learned that there had been 3 winners thus netting him a hue $23.3 million prize.

Stephen-Cooke

However, the lottery officials were aware of the time and date that the winning tickets had been purchased and started to ask Cooke a lot of questions about where and

when he had

bought his tickets. Obviously he thought this was a little strange until he was informed that 2 winning tickets had been purchased in quick succession obviously by the same player!

The lottery officials were sure that Stephen had the other winning ticket.

In the strictest secrecy a Georgia Lottery security guard travelled with Cooke o his home so that he could retrieve his other 2 tickets in order to ascertain if one of them was also a winner.

It was then that Cooke discovered his initial mistake which netted him another $23.3 million prize for a grand prize total of $46.6 million.

What a lucky guy.

Juan, Juan the Lottery Man

All Juan Tobar would say when he was handed his giant cheque for $100,000 was, “I’m so lucky!” Not many people would disagree with that statement Juan. But what did shock listeners was when he then added to his former statement saying, “It’s nice to be a winner again.”

Before Juan had even spent one dime of his initial winnings he went and did it all over again.

Seriously, the original $100,000 was still sitting in his bank account when he cashed his second enormous $100,000 cheque. Some people have all the luck!

Just a matter of a short few months previously Juan had netted his first $100,000 win in the same lottery game. Although he always ensures he purchases his tickets at the same store he makes sure he plays different numbers.

Juan Tobar

To match even 1 of Juan’s lucky wins takes you must match 5 from 35 on your ticket, which means beating odds of 325,000 to 1.

To do it twice you have to beat odds of approximately 10 and a half billion to 1. That is a staggering statistic and shows just how incredibly lucky Juan has been.

The only plans he has for his new fortune is to pay off his mortgage. We could think of a few extra luxuries he could buy, can you?

Another Multiple Lottery Winner

Debt is the curse of the 21st century. Even people with promising careers and high wage packets tend to slip into the debt trap and suffer for years with the burden of debt repayments. So, even though Jennifer Hauser is a producer for CNN she is certainly no exception.

For years Jennifer struggled with mounting debt which she says was stressful. Then in November of 2011 Hauser won a nice debt busting $100,000 in the Georgia Lottery.

As well as paying off a large portion of her debt Jennifer was also able to treat herself to a new car and a few smaller luxuries.

Jennifer Hauser

Hauser had barely had time to cash her cheque and spend her winnings before another stroke of good fortune hit.

Just three months later, near Valentine’s Day, Jennifer and husband were getting set to celebrate their seventh wedding anniversary when, n a whim, her husband suggested they buy lottery ticket to see if they could be as lucky in the game as they had been in love. And it paid off, this time to the tune of $1 million!

Though Hauser and husband have plans to use their new winnings wisely she says that she will keep her job at CNN.

This is just another multiple lottery winner to add to the growing list.

Who will be next?

The Unluckiest Man in the World Gets Mega Lucky

After Escaping from a derailed train, he cheated death in a plane that lost its door. Then came a near-death bus crash, a flaming car and then another 2 car accidents.

Is it any wonder his luck eventually lead him to a million dollar lottery win?

Frane Selak is a Croatian music teacher who became infamous in his own country due to his many close calls with destiny. Frane was in so many unlucky incidents that almost claimed his life, so many times, that many people were calling him the unluckiest man in the world.

In 1962, on a train journey from Sarajevo to Dubrovnik, the train was derailed and plunged into a river of ice. The crash killed 17 unfortunate passengers but Salak escaped with just one broken arm and minor cuts and bruises.

In 1963 while travelling from Zagreb to Rijeka Slaek’s plane lost its cockpit door plunging the plane to ground and 19 passengers to their deaths. Salek suffered minor injuries after landing in a haystack.

In 1966 his bus veered off the road and into a river killing 4 passengers but leaving Salek in one piece.

In 1970 he exited his car just in time just before its eroded fuel pump ignited the entire vehicle and made it burst into flames.

1973 another flaming car incident claimed only his hair.

In 1995 he was hit by a speeding bus which miraculously left him unscathed.

Then in 1996 he evaded death again from a fast approaching truck by driving his car off a cliff. Amazingly he fell out of his car into a tree and simply watched as the vehicle fell 300 feet to the ground and exploded in a shower of sparks and flames.

Frances Selak

Many people claimed that Frane was the unluckiest man in the world. However, Frane knows differently.

He claims that God was looking after him throughout all those years and saved him. So he was not at all surprised when he won $1 million dollars in the Croatian lottery in 2003.

Frane, like some others, consider that he is actually not the unluckiest man in the world but is, surely, the luckiest!

Man Who Won Lottery 4 Times Has 5th Jackpot Disputed

Seguro Ndabene, from Calgary, I viewed by many to be the luckiest man alive. However, his luck may be about to run out pending a court decision about his latest lottery jackpot win.

Mr. Ndabene is being sued by his brother-in-law who claims that the $17 million ticket was not owned by Ndabene alone but was purchased as part of an ongoing syndicate of players.

Most ordinary lotto players would be distraught by the fact that the prize fund money cannot be released until a court rules on the dispute. However Seguro can wait on his winnings as he already has over $2 million dollars from his 4 previous jackpot wins.

Winning Ticket

It is routine for The Western Canada Lottery Corporation to investigate wins over $10,000 so they immediately launched a probe into the latest jackpot win. Mr. Ndabene was of even greater interest due his latest large win and the fact that he has already landed 4 previous jackpots.

That type of extraordinary luck would raise anyone’s eyebrow a little.

However, it is not foul-play that the lottery is investigated but the claims by Antonin Koprnicky, the brother-in-law of the kiosk owner who sold Mr. Ndabene the winning ticket.

Although Lise Blanchette, who sold Ndabene the ticket and who also organises group and syndicate purchases, said she was excited for Ndabene stated in January no group was a part of the purchase and Ndabene has purchased it alone her brother-in-law has till filed a claim.

The case proved to be so complicated and convoluted that the lottery closed its investigation and passed the entire dispute, along with the full prize fund, over to the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench so a judge could decide.

Seguro Ndabene

Ndabene claimed that he can prove the ticket is his alone because he played the same numbers he won with back in 2006.

Not only is this evidence that Mr. Ndabene was a sole player for that ticket but there is even stronger evidence to support his case.

Blanchette, the kiosk owner, is very organised when it comes to syndicate purchases. Each group purtchase has its own documentation which is stamped on the back. There is no such no stamp on Ndabene’s ticket.

Blanchette also ensures that every player within a syndication of players signs a group-buying agreement. This agreement lists each participant’s name, phone number and contribution.

For the draw day of the winning ticket the claimant’s name, Antonin Koprnicky, does not appear on any documents suggesting that he did not even play in the game.

However, three other people, who are listed on a group-buying agreement, have secured the services of lawyers in the hope of gaining some of the winnings.

On Monday, Nov. 2, 2009 Mr. Ndabene had the entire $17 million win granted to him by the courts – and rightfully so.

How to Win the Lottery

There are lots of people in the world that would like to solve their money concerns and delight in the finer items in life with a big lottery win.

Winning the lottery symbolizes escape from financial constraints for individuals. If you’re an individual who could profit from a lottery win then you possibly could be interested in the remainder of this post.

Winning the lottery is just a pipe dream for scores of people. Every one of us would enjoy being free from money troubles and a lottery win surely would give us that.

Yet, we have been force-fed a lie when it comes to the lottery. You see we have been informed that it is a game of fortune and luck but really it is not at all. Achieving that elusive life-changing lottery win may seem like it’s purely a matter of good fortune for almost all people but for a few select guys it’s simply a matter of time. The difficulty with the lottery is that nearly all individuals purchase their entries in a haphazard style.

Whether you have picked your numbers based on substantial dates, lucky numbers, omens, prophetical insight or just chosen a ‘lucky dip’ then you have more of a chance of being hit by lightening than you do of winning the lottery jackpot.

It’s possible to select your numbers more prudently in a way that hugely affects your odds of gaining a huge win. Winning at top prize in the lottery is not just about circumstances when you can use probability instead. I suggest you find a system that employs the law of probabilities when you go searching for ways to learn how to win the lottery. The lottery is a game of probabilities not a game of circumstances.

In an average 6 from 49 lottery draw (where you have to match six winning numbers from a potential 49 like the United kingdom Lottery) your odds of winning are 14,000,000 to one.

By outlaying £14 million you can literally secure a lottery win because you can obtain all sequences of the 49 numbers in the draw.

It is therefore entirely possible to see to it that you win the lottery but it will cost you more capital than you would probably win so what’s the point?!

The aforementioned example does highlight one thing though – the fact that the lottery can be beaten and this knowledge should spare you on.

Through the use of mathematics formulas which utilize the laws of probability it is possible to quash the odds of winning the lottery from 14,000,000 to one to 500 thousand to one just by choosing one additional number at a cost of just £27 more! So, think of what choosing another number would do.

Four Times Lotto Winner Has PhD in Statistics

To most people winning the lottery is a matter of exceptional good luck. So what type of luck must be involved to win the lottery twice? How much luck does it take to win the lottery three times? Do you think the type of luck it would take to win the lottery four times does not exist? Well for one woman it seems that it does. She was called the luckiest woman in Texas after her second win. 2 more wins later and she was being dubbed the luckiest woman in the world.

However very clever people are not being to doubt that luck alone could allow a person to land huge lotto wins 4 times. They argue that good fortune alone cannot account for such a large amount of wins especially when you consider the odds of winning a typical lottery are 14 million to 1. That is 14 million to 1 every time you play! How could anyone beat odds of 14 million to 1in four different draws for four different wins?

Coincidence? Good luck? Or, as some people argue, was something much more scientific than luck involved in these wins.

Joan R. Ginter, a 63 year old native of Texas, has a combined prize pot of over $20 million dollars amassed over her 4 lottery wins.

Joan’s first win was for $5.4 million. 10 years later she won another £2 million. Just 2 years after that she won yet again claiming a further $3 million. Then at the end of the winter, in Spring of 2008, Joan won again. This time her prize was a $10 million jackpot.

Now, as mentioned winning a typical lottery gives you odds of 14 million to 1. So claiming that winning 4 times is just down to luck really stretches credibility. In fact the odds of experiencing such an event stand at one in 18 septillion. This type of luck would only occur once every quadrillion years.

So, I ask you, do you think Joan’s wins are due to good luck?

Now Joan Ginter has been adamant for a long time that her amazing lottery fortunes are done purely to an incredible amount of good luck.

However, it has been pointed out that Ms Ginter was a former math professor and attained her PhD in Statistics from Stanford University.

What are the odds of a whiz in mathematics winning a mathematical based gambling game? Too rare to calculate!
After all four of her lottery wins were claimed in Texas Joan Gunter moved to Las Vegas – perhaps to flex her luck muscles in the casinos.

However, in a statement from the Institute for the Study of Gambling & Commercial Gaming at the University of Nevada, Reno, a PhD professor stated that if such an event were to occur in a casino the lucky recipient would be immediately arrested and interrogated.

The Texas Lottery Commission stated that Ms Ginther must have been “born under a lucky star”, and that they in no way suspect foul play.

Maybe foul play was not the cause of Joan’s wins but in fact an amazingly detailed and accurate lottery system like those used by many other winners in the past. Who is top know for sure.

How to Win the Lottery in More Than 1 Draw

The vast majority of sane, rationale people believe that the lottery is purely a game of chance; a game of luck. But is this really the case? Many eminent men and women claim the lottery is not at all about luck but is a game that is beatable because it is based on the laws of probability and not on blind luck.

Such claims seem too fantastic to be true. Surely winning on the lottery is a matter of luck and luck alone!

Well what if it isn’t?

What if winning the lottery is not about luck at all but about something else – something completely different? Something that can be measured gauged and predicted. What if?

What if it was feasible to win the lottery by acquiring a proven plan that seems to succeed time and time and time again.

Would you be interested in such a plan?

Lottery Beginnings

Since its very conception the lottery has produced not only excitement and wonder but it has also given rise to the urge and deep desire to win it among ordinary men and women the world over.

For most people winning the lottery seems like the fastest way to acquire huge sums of money, in fact it seems to them to be the only way to those types of riches. So it is little wonder that many formulas have been invented that attempt to use clever mathematics to beat the lottery and there is little doubt that big money has been spent developing those systems.

With so many lottery tactics being designed one might be misguided for reasoning that a successful system would have been created well before nowadays and perhaps it has. Many past winners have claimed to have use a variety of systems from hidden secret formulas to simple wheeling techniques employed by syndicates (often very successfully).

Unfortunately, when it comes to selling systems designed to make easy money, like lottery systems, there are many dubious and unscrupulous marketers who peddle inferior or useless products.

Whilst there are many more lottery systems that are useless than there are ones that are adept enough to create substantial, palpable wins, it is possible to mine the diamonds from the rough if you know where to plant your digging equipment.

You see crunching numbers for a number of people is easy. Maths professionals will frequently build complicated algorithmic techniques for just about everything.

It will be no surprise then that some whiz mathematical geniuses have attempted to devise such techniques in the past to beat the lottery. And it should come as no surprise that some of those mathematicians are now extremely wealthy and “lucky” at the lotto.

Neither should it surprise you to discover that many of those systems are now available on the market.

One simple lottery system that is often used by syndicated groups is “wheeling”.

Wheeling numbers is a neat method to dramatically increase your chances of winning a prize on the lotto by allowing you to play more numbers in multiple sequences. The only obstacle to utilising a wheeling approach for winning the lotto is the price of the entries. As you need to purchase many entries when wheeling numbers it is only really affordable when playing within a syndicated group of people.

Nevertheless, wheeling does testify that you can apply arithmetic, and specifically when working with the laws of probability, to greatly increase your chances of winning the draw.

The fact that mathematics can be utilised to win the draw makes it easy to understand how a math teacher and PhD in Statistics has won the lottery 4 times and an Oklahoma mathematics professor has won the coveted draw three times in straight succession and 5 times in all.

Maybe we could all be as lucky as they have been if we were trained in mathematics!
